Recent Brief for the AOI and Serco: ‘Secret London’, very fun (i love objects with stories and researching!) but just a little week long project, and a nice excuse to go down to London :)
Second brief - The Searle Award. This is a competition just for students of Cambridge School of Art. The brief was ‘Migration’. Did you know that the arctic tern has the longest migration of any creature on the entire planet. In it’s lifetime it can fly the equivalent of three times to the moon and back.
The final scans from my Ibis project last semester. Had real trouble finding a scanner big enough and in the end had to photoshop it quite a bit to even-out the colours. Nightmare. So it looks quite digital now, but I am still pleased with the outcome. Would be nice to have it in book format…
Third Project. I just had this urge to do some more paper-cut this semester so I had no set brief and just started cutting! Ended up with this series of patterns, still a few more to do but I think I will have a go at putting them on objects, mugs, pencils, tea towels etc. Just a bit of fun really.
First brief of the final semester. A YCN brief to re-brand Heinz Salad Cream. Went for the graphic/classic/simple approach. There is also a promo-pack example and a run through of how I came up with the campaign in progress.
Current project on endangered species. A sort of endangered species Top Trumps. The rest of the alphabet to finish, and will have information about name/habitat/numbers left etc, on the back.
